Too long, didn’t watch? 👉 Just remember these three magic words: Supervised. Interactive. Play.

Tug-E-Nuff toys are made with the toughest materials we can get our hands on, but they aren’t chew toys. And they aren’t indestructible (in fact, we don’t think indestructible toys exists - and here’s why). Even the toughest toys can’t survive a dog on solo shredding duty.

For the best games, the best fun, and the best behaviour -  always keep it interactive.

How to clean your Tug-E-Nuff toys

From time to time your toy will need a clean. Please read the guidelines below carefully to find out the best way to clean your toy.

Sheepskin toys - You can pop your sheepskin Tug-E-Nuff toy in the washing machine on a cool delicates wash. Colours can run so wash separately. Then, let it air dry and brush with a slicker.

Warning: If your toy is made with black sheepskin, please remember that the non-toxic dye used in these toys will run when the fur is wet - so keep it separate from any fabrics or surfaces until completely dry.

Rabbit Skin toys - This is a delicate fur and hide and we do not recommend machine washing. Instead, use a damp cloth to wipe away any dirt. Then, let your toy air dry and brush gently with a slicker brush.

Faux Fur toys - Our faux fur toys can be put in the washing machine on a cool delicates wash. Then, let air dry and brush with a slicker.

The Clam - You can pop it in the washing machine from time to time - but use a cool cycle and wash separately as colours can run. Always let it air dry. Occasionally, brush the hook and loop fastening to remove any debris (an old toothbrush works well for this!).

Warning: Do not submerge any toy with a squeaker in water as this will cause it to stop working.

How to stop your dog grabbing the handle

Our bungee handles are made for human hands and shock absorption - but not all dogs immediately get the memo. If your dog grabs the handle rather than the bite zone, interrupt play and reset.

To prevent handle grabbing, keep the handle tucked up and out of sight when offering the toy for tug. Present the bite area - and once your dog’s got a good tuggy grip - you can slowly release the rest.

What to do if your toy is shedding fur

It’s normal for small amounts of fur to come away during your first few play sessions. To limit shedding, brush firmly with a slicker brush to remove any loose fibres. We only use non-toxic materials so they’re not harmful if accidentally ingested - but it’s best to give your toy a little brush to avoid this happening.

How long do Tug-E-Nuff toys last?

Our toys last a pretty long time when used for supervised, interactive play, they’re built to go the distance. In fact, only 2 in 10 customers replace their toy because it wore out. But be warned… 80% own more than one. They’re tough and addictive.

It’s normal for a well loved toy to look a little rough around the edges.  But remember, the more worn and slobbery your toy looks, the more fun your dog’s been having with it.

Your dog doesn’t care what their toy looks like. It’s the smell, the memories, and the fun you’ve shared that makes it so special. So don’t worry about a bit of wear and tear - it’s a sure fire sign your dog’s had a good time. 🧡
