⚠️Toy Care & Safe Play

Our Clam Training Guide will help you maximise your results in minimal time. Download it for free here.

Pop it in the washing machine on a cool cycle and wash separately as colours can run. Always let it air dry. Occasionally, brush the hook and loop fastening to remove any debris (an old toothbrush works well for this!).

The golden rule: Keep your Tug-E-Nuff toy for interactive, supervised play only. While made to withstand enthusiastic play, this is not a chew toy.

Always keep out of reach when you’re not present and actively playing with your dog.

Why Choose The Clam - Treat dispensing dog toy ?

Great for a gentle dog regardless of size and age

Our 8 year Lurcher, Bella, had a clam which was her favourite toy. She has a gentle mouth and gentle personality...it lasted until it got so used that we bought her this replacement.
She just loves catching it and putting it our hands to throw again ..and again ..and again.
On the other hand our 4 year Parson Terrior-ist Lula had a great time with hers but it is long gone !!

Luna and I make great use of the Clam

Luna and I make great use of the Clam. Especially on early morning walks… she loves me to throw it on the path ahead and I tell her to “find it”. When the weather gets winters I will use it inside as well . The Velcro is actually just right to be a momentary challenge and not frustrating. I have not yet been able to teach her to “bring it”… she does bring the tug chaser toys very proudly.

Amazing product

This clam is an absolute necessity for every dog. Poppy my 16 month old Cocker Spaniel absolutely loves this and will do absolutely anything to get her little paws on it!!!!! I have 2 of these one for Hoopers training and competitions. Poppy knows at the end there will be something special in her clam. They are different colours and I keep one just for Hoopers and the other I use at home or out on walks. Poppy is a very fussy eater but if I put her kibble in the clam she eats it and she has to work for it, she brings it back to me to refill every time its empty. Poppy thinks its a great game and its win, win for me as Poppy is eating her kibble but has fun trying to get the kibble out. The clam is an absolute godsend. Once the activity is over I take it away from Poppy but she treats it as a high value item because of this and gets all excited the next time she gets it, she gets this 4-5 times a day, but treats it as a new game every time she gets it. I made the mistake of leaving Poppy with the clam when empty and she started to chew the clam, so my lesson learnt its not a toy lol, though Poppy would say different. Poppy knows that we have different colours for different activities but she gets so excited with both and its something special to her. Go direct to tug-e-nuff as I paid a lot more from another supplier. This supplier is amazing and there are lessons on how to get the best out of these products. Chelsea who does these video's is excellent as are all the staff. Darren always checks to ensure you are happy with every product and you can contact them anytime and they quickly respond. The customer service is 2nd to none. They also have lots of yummy, natural treats and kibble. My Poppy is hooked!!! Its a must for all dogs they love it, its a treat that lasts and your fur baby will love you even more for it, if that's possible. But it certainly deepens the bond that you have with your fur baby. I now have 5 other tug-e-nuff high value toys (sheep and rabbit fur) and 2 clams and though they sound expensive they are worth every penny, you certainly get pleasure from playing and interacting with your fur baby and Poppy's recall is instant when I hold up one of these. Forget the sniffing she comes instantly, that how valuable they are to her.

Fun with clams

My two dogs are enjoying the clams. They now get super excited when they see them. They have to work a bit to get them open which is great but they are getting quicker! Great to get their brains working.?

Fantastic toy/training tool

What a fantastic invention! Just perfect for engaging play. My ex racer rescue greyhound loves this toy. We took it really slowly during the introduction as she is not quick to learn new things. We are on day 7 of the training and she is doing really well. I have to watch her as it the toy rolls with the opening facing down she will try and chew the other side. She doesn't understand scent work yet but I'm sure she will get there in a few weeks. It took her 5 months to learn to go in her crate with the command and not just follow the treat.

Clam

Hi there, glad I got this for Rosie but she opens it pretty easily. Even after a few ‘goes’ she found it easy. I’m afraid I thought it’d be more of a challenge for a while longer. She loves it though! And the treats!

Great service, brilliant products

My dog is obsessed with this! Closed the Velcro lightly to begin with until Luna got the hang of it, now she is a pro and opens it quickly however tightly I close it! She even brings it back to me for a refill. Great fun and training aid.

The Clam gives him confidence!

When I adopted Toto from a Charity who brings dogs over from Romania, you could hardly touch him he was so traumatised. Having had him for two years and watched his confidence grow day by day, I started Dog Agility with him.He really loved it and was so happy to go but after six weeks, he was still lacking the confidence to even enter the tunnel despite numerous treats. After using the Clam for 15 minutes, he was running through it as if he'd been doing it all his life.

Clam’s just great

Thank you for speedily sending us the clam. Our agility class started again after the holiday. Took it along and its the best toy we’ve used. Poppy, my small working cocker spaniel) is seriously food and always wants to come back to me for treats. Awesome watching her go off to find what’s in her clam. And it keeps her busy while I catch up at the end. We are both total novices at this game and loving it.

The clam

Bought for Agility - my cockerpoo loves it. Struggled at first to open the clam but it was easy to just lightly Velcro together so she could get the treat. Followed the guide on how to use for first time which worked a treat! Looking forward to taking to agility this week now we have used it at home with success

How does the clam open? So many food toys and games end in seconds with my dog

Tug-E-Nuff

Thanks for your question, the Clam is not a puzzle toy and is designed as an instant reward. You can use it for scentwork games such as hide and seek - however, if you are looking for a puzzle toy to leave with your dog this isnt the toy for you.
